High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must also meet **one** (1) of the following training/experience requirements**:**
* * Must have successfully completed a Machining Diploma or an equivalent program from a recognized trade school or community college (minimum 2-year accredited program) by **July 2026**.
* * Must have successfully graduated (or currently enrolled) in the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) Machining program.
* * A State Certified Machinist Journeyman's Card is required. (The Journeyman's Card or required diploma must be completed prior to **July 2026** to be considered for an interview. If hired with no Journeyman's Card, the candidate must agree to complete the apprenticeship program.)
* * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing machining or tool making (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
* * Military Service equivalent in pay grade E-6 or above. One or more of the following Navy Enlisted Classifications (NEC) or other service branch specific equivalent:
* Machinery Repairman or service equivalent
* U32A Computer Numerically Controlled Machinist
* U33A NAMTS Inside Machinist
Verification of Military Experience and Training (VMET, DD Form 2586) and Job Qualification Requirement (JQR) documentation are required when uploading resume.

Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance
