Must have successfully completed an Electrician Apprentice Program, an Associatedegree/certificate in Electronics/Electrical Technology, or have equivalent job experience.
Must pass the skilled trade assessment test for this position.
Must have a basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting. Some knowledge of combustionand/or hydraulic systems may be required.
Must have a basic knowledge and experience in relay logic, industrial controls, electronics, andPLCs.
Must have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading electrical schematics, wiringdiagrams, ladder logic, and engineering drawings.
Must have a basic ability to use a computer to communicate with machine control systems andPLCs. Must have a basic ability to diagnose the root cause of a problem, make repairs, and testfor proper operation.
Ability to use various measuring devices (multi-meter, oscilloscope, megohmmeter, etc.)
Excellent attendance required.
Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis.
May be required to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
Must be able to work in confined areas, climb ladders, and work at heights of 30 feet.
Must be able to wear a respirator.
Must be able to distinguish colors used in color-coding wires and electronic components.
Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
