Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific discipline required
20 years of experience in engineering experience in environmental systems for US Navy applications
Experience working with NAVSEA, NSWCPD, and NSWCCD
Engineering and design skills in shipboard waste management systems to include:
Waste Incinerators
Waste Shredders
Pulpers
Plastic Waste Processors
Compactors
P2A Equipment
Afloat HAZMAT Control and Stowage Equipment
Ability to work with software applications to aid in design and analysis
Understanding of process definition and frameworks (such as ISO, CMMI, etc.)
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ClearQuest
Familiarity with software such as AutoDesk / AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Visio
Candidates must have an active government security clearance or the ability to obtain security clearance
Which requires proper safety precautions and ability to go up and down shipboard stairways (ladders); work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
