High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Diesel Technology, Business Management, or a related field strongly preferred
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in diesel mechanics and heavy equipment maintenance, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role within a shop or fleet maintenance environment
Demonstrated experience overseeing teams, managing workflow, and aligning shop operations with business priorities
Strong hands-on mechanical experience with the ability and willingness to personally perform diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment and diesel trucks as needed
Deep knowledge of heavy equipment systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and shop management software
Experience managing maintenance schedules, parts procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships
Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing budgets, labor planning, inventory controls, and performance metrics
Proven ability to mentor teams, lead through change, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments including operations, safety, procurement, and finance
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, weekends, or respond to operational needs when required
Authorized to work in the U.S.
