Good oral communication skills
1 year experience in a like environment, or a minimum of 1 year post high school education in a related field
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Knowledge of and compliance with all safety and environmental requirements regarding blasting agents, their application and disposal
Material handling - safe operation of cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications as they relate to finishing Steel Fab products
Must replenish the abrasive hopper when necessary
Must be able to remove exhausted blasting agent from blasting room
Will use various safety equipment related to blasting applications
Maintain a clean and neat work area
All other duties as assigned

Operate production equipment safely and efficiently following established work instructions
Manufacture products that meet quality, safety, and production standards
Rotate between multiple workstations after completing training
Load materials, monitor production, and ensure equipment is operating properly
Perform minor machine adjustments and report equipment issues as needed
Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met
Identify defects or inconsistencies and take appropriate corrective action
Complete production and quality documentation accurately
Maintain attention to detail while meeting production goals
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures
Work closely with team members to meet daily production schedules
Assist in training and supporting other operators as needed
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required
