Flexible scheduling

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

A minimum of 20 hours per week

Certification runs for 10 days, Monday-Friday, from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM ET

You'll need a quiet, dedicated workspace

Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please)

A PC with Windows 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time)

At least 8GB of RAM, with at least 4GB available for use

A processor capable of reliably running all required software and programs simultaneously

Up-to-date antivirus software

Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1024 x 768 pixels

A USB noise-cancelling headset

A webcam for your Certification experience

A smart phone to facilitate dual-factor authentication

You are eligible to contract with NexRep if you reside in one of these states: AL, AK, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WV, or WY.

We do not currently contract with anyone outside of the US.

Each independent contractor services a minimum of 20 hours per week

At least one year of experience in a call center customer service environment is preferred

Medical office, pharmacy, or non-clinical medical experience is very helpful

PPE available

1 year minimum work experience as a B-class pipe fitter at Austal or 2 years experience in a similar role at comparative employer.

Pass the "A" Class pipe fitters tests; written with a minimum score of 70% and practical with a minimum score of 90%.

Must have full set of personal tools

US Citizenship or Certificate of Naturalization is required

Must be Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19

Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites.

Must have the ability to bend, squat, stoop, crawl, and kneel. Perform prolonged standing. Ability to turn head from side to side and about the vertical axis. Lift/push/pull 50lbs on an occasional basis. Lift/push/pull up to 20lbs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to climb in a safe manner (climbing as a minimum includes stairs, scaffolding, ladders, and ramps). Ability to work at heights above 12' while working from ladders, scaffolding and/or man lifts. Able to work at a variety of levels (ex. waist, eye, overhead).

Demonstrate the ability to safely and appropriately use required tools and equipment.

Demonstrate good balance while working on uneven surfaces and maneuvering obstacles.

Possess sufficient handgrip and coordination to carry and operate tools and equipment.

Ability to utilize personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toes shoes, goggles, respirator, safety harness, safety line, flotation gear, etc.) safely per OSHA standards.

Ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures.

Ability to enter 18" x 36" openings and work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time within OSHA guidelines.

Able to respond to verbal and audible sounds/commands.

Able to utilize adequate visual skills.

Ability to fully extend the arm while reaching overhead, reaching out, reaching to the side and reaching down.

Ability to perceive attributes of an object/material such as size, shape, temperature and texture by means of receptors in the hands and fingers.

Must comply with company, federal, state, and local safety and environmental rules and regulations while performing daily job tasks.

1 year retail, 6 months leadership experience

Ability to work overtime as required.

Three (3) years of experience in AC/DC installations required

Proficient with electrical systems including but not limited to machinery shutdown / navigational communications / internal communications / PLC Systems.

Experienced level of termination skills of AC/DC and control systems.

Sound knowledge in the installation of cabling systems to meet marine class society, Navy and Coast Guard regulations.

Interpretations of electrical schematics and documentation.

High School Diploma/GED equivalent required or two years maritime experience

Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in the use of all trade related power tools, testing equipment.

Supply own trade tools to be able to maintain productive output and perform 1st class electrical duties.

18 years of age or older at time of application

Able to provide proof of US Person Status

No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
