Entry Writer & Air Import Coordinator
Hybrid position, requiring the candidate to work in the office every Monday and one additional day each week, with the remaining days worked remotely.
Preparing and processing entries, reviewing details and verifying compliance data related calculations and duty policies.
Proficiency in classification skills
Interaction with importers and manage post entry work
Experience with and knowledge of Import entry procedures rules and regulations (Air/Ocean)
Prepare and input entry data into ACE for cargo releases and entry summary
Assemble commercial invoices, packing lists, and Bills of Lading for entry filing
Verify HTS classification, country of origin, and declared value for entry filing
Prepare documentation to support PGA holds FDA, USDA APHIS, EPA, FCC as needed
CF28/CF29 Requests for information
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
Must be detailed oriented
Solid knowledge of air and ocean ports
Strong PC Skills
Maintain recordkeeping as required by US Customs rules and regulations
Impeccable customer service
Working with Customs House Brokerage: minimum 10+ years
Entry Processing via ACE: minimum 10+ years
Excellent understanding of HTS classification and CBP entry types
High attention to detail and comfort working against fixed filing deadlines
International Freight Forwarding knowledge
Domestic Freight Forwarding knowledge
