Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot industrial mechanical devices (pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors, belt drives, chain drives, presses).
Knowledge of material properties (machinability, heat treatment, corrosion resistance, etc.).
A strong technical understanding of automated equipment engineering with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop design concepts into functional engineering models and drawings.
Associate degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; or three to four years of relevant work experience.
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, and electrical codes.
Experience in maintaining custom automation equipment.
Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot industrial electrical/electronic control devices/sensors (relays, transformers, PLCs, circuits, etc.) Allen-Bradley and/or Mitsubishi PLC / HMI experience is a plus.
Understanding of drafting standards.
