Ability to use your hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle changing priorities
Three years experience building and testing custom, complex high precision electro optical assemblies
Fiber optic splicing processes and equipment, including arc fusion splicers, cleavers, and re-coaters
Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures
High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience or Secondary/Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Use of optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components

Interpret simple and complex parts of assembly drawings.
Final training will be determined by the supervisor/designee during introductory period on the job.
The noise level in the work environment may be loud.

Must possess good math fundamentals, comprehend written work instructions, and communicate well. May also be required to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Must demonstrate ability to meet minimum requirements of eye test and color recognition test.

This position requires the ability to lift, bend or stoop as necessary up to 20lbs.
Six (6) months electronics component assembly experience plus one (1) year of Sparton/general component/PCB inspection experience required.

Ability to use GO/NO GO, direct and fixed gauges, scales, and micrometers.
High school graduate or equivalent.
The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the plant.
