Hatchery Laborer
Environment involves wet and humid conditions during sanitation process
Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Equipment/Tools/PPE: Hearing protection is required in posted areas, slip resistant shoes are required in all areas, steel toe shoes are required during set and transfer, and cotton gloves are optional to be used as needed by team member
On the job training: 1-2 weeks
2 hours per shift spent in incubators at 99 degrees Fahrenheit
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting 10-pound egg trays from floor level to shoulder level
Must be able to lift, push, and transport egg trays and cargons as described (e.g., buggies on casters loaded with eggs to vaccination table, transferring trays, loading chicks onto conveyor)
