Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BLS/BCLS)

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification

Registered nuclear medicine technologist, ARRT-N or NMTCB certificate required.
Obtain PET technologist, NMTCB certificate, within 18 months.
Active license required from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety in nuclear medicine.
Maintain BLS CPR Certification.
Maintain PET Certification, after acquiring.
2 years nuclear medicine experience required, including 1 year as Nuclear Medicine Tech II.
700 hours experience on hybrid PET/CT scanner required.
Capable of modifying existing protocols and building new protocols for the PET/CT scanner.
Capable of resolving camera issues-calling support, rescheduling patients, rearranging the schedule, and able to assist field engineers when needed.
Monitor Preventative Maintenance of both scanner and contrast injector.
Maintain proper safety measures in handling of all radiopharmaceuticals and employee radiation exposure dosage.
Capable of working independently and provide guidance to Level I & II Technologists. Assist with the instruction of radiography students and new employees.
Participate in flexible work hours that coincide with workload demands, overtime required when necessary.
Take call as required to assigned area of department.

Relevant healthcare program completion (e.g. certified nursing assistant, emergency medical technician-basic, medical assistant, personal care aide, etc.)
Completion or active enrollment in core nursing classes
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience performing the essential responsibilities of the mental health technician role.
CPR certification required, or obtained during nursing team onboarding process.
Accurately inputs data into the electronic medical record and maintains accurate paper records for those items that are not computerized.
Possesses updated knowledge and competency in using equipment related to job duties (i.e., gait belt, mobility devices, protection/safety equipment, etc.)
Successful completion of Nursing Team Onboarding, unit-based orientation, and clinical competency validation tool within 30 days of hire required.
Completion of Safety First Training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter required.
