Code Enforcement Jobs, Employment in New Bedford,MA Now Hiring September 2026

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of machining or CNC manufacturing experience preferred
Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality inspection methods
Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or Swiss machines preferred
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices is a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
2nd shift availability: 3PM-11:30PM, Monday-Friday
Starting pay rate of $25 per hour
Must be able to perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Must maintain accurate production, scrap, and downtime records
Must enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Must coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and quality departments to resolve operational issues
Must support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing and 5S practices
Must lead and support 2nd shift machining personnel in daily production activities
Must monitor workflow to ensure production schedules and deadlines are achieved
Must assign work, prioritize jobs, and coordinate shift activities with production management
Must set up and oversee CNC machines, machining centers, and related equipment as needed
Must troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime
Must ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications
Must train and mentor machine operators on equipment, safety procedures, and best practices
