High school diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related trade

Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders or elevated platforms

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Technical certification or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field

Experience working in commercial or industrial facilities

Basic computer skills and familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

OSHA safety training or relevant safety certifications

Customer service experience in a facilities or hospitality environment

Minimum rate of $35.17 Hourly

Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.

Participates in on-calls as directed by BMET Supervisor and Biomedical Engineering Director as needed.

BS degree in (Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology) with 1 year fulltime BMET work experience, or AS degree in (Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology) with 2 years fulltime BMET work experience, or Completion of a U.S. military biomedical equipment technology program and two years fulltime BMET work experience, or High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs with 4 years full-time BMET work experience.

Unrestricted ability to attend both on the job training as well as offsite and/or out of state training requiring travel that can include one or more overnight stays.

Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6.0 hours a day.

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.

AS Degree, or higher, with 2 years full time experience working in Biomedical Engineering.

Possess various current OEM certifications for the support and maintenance of patient care medical devices.

Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMMS, NJDOH, and etc. standards.

Experience in a hospital environment or medical equipment manufacturer with experience working on patient care equipment.

$77.92 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.

Overnight travel will be required

Must be an Active member of Union Local 696

2+ years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry

Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Must be willing to travel.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements

Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Overnight travel will be required

Possess a valid driver's license

Driving record that meets company requirements

Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test

Must possess and retain current required State Fire Protection License or valid Journeyman License, if applicable.
