5+ years of related experience involving set-up/operation of precision (high tolerance), machine shop equipment
High School/(GED) Diploma or Vocational/Technical school equivalent
Possess math skills required to effectively and efficiently read, interpret documents (i.e., blueprints/technical drawings, operation/tool/set-up sheets, procedures, ECN's, routers, etc.).
Ability to interpret various types of graphs and data used in problem solving, SPC, monitoring of performance metrics, etc.
Ability to set-up and operate machine shop equipment in a effective, efficient, safe and consistent manner
Knowledgeable in the areas of Lean Manufacturing concepts, employee training, GT&D; practices, interpretation of machine shop documentation (blueprints, ECN's, operation/tooling sheets, routers, etc.), inspection methods, effective utilization of measuring equipment/instruments, root cause investigations, troubleshooting, and performance metrics
Must be a US Citizen
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and to use hands to finger, handle or feel
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly required to stand at length (7-8 hours, daily), sit, walk, stoop, bend, turn, balance, and/or crouch, and move about the facility.
The employee may be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 lbs.
