Orientation and Departmental Programs

Full-Time, Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm

37.5 hours per week

Has successfully completed a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for surgical technologists OR * Holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization

Current BLS required (American Heart Association)

Successful completion of all Orientation and Departmental Programs with documentation

$111,000-$149,000/Annual

This is a full-time day shift position working Monday-Friday 7:30a-3:30p.

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 6 years of experience working as a Pathologists' Assistant

ASCP Certification

NYS Pathologists' Assistant license, or Clinical Lab Technologist License or Histotechnologist License

Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting

High school diploma or GED

Occasional weekends, nights, and holidays are required.

Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
