2+ years of experience as a mechanical drafter or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical part and assembly modeling
Strong working knowledge of GD&T; principles and their practical application.
Solid understanding of mechanical tolerancing, fits (clearance, transition, interference), and surface finish specifications.
Familiarity with ASME Y14 series drawing standards.
Ability to interpret engineering sketches and translate them into formal production drawings.
Understanding of common manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and casting.
Exposure to electromechanical assemblies or robotic systems.
Experience creating drawings for hand-built or low-volume production environments.
Familiarity with revision control systems and engineering change order (ECO) processes.
