Applicant must be a US citizen.
Access to DoD facilities is required.
5-10 Years of experience in Heavy Industrial Maritime Manufacturing or shipbuilding on the machining side required
Familiarity with various types of maritime construction projects, including commercial and military vessels
Strong understanding of federal contracting processes, regulations, and reporting requirements (e.g., FAR, DFARS)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Ability to estimate the amount of material, labor, and equipment required to perform requirements of RFQs
Knowledge of market labor and material trends relevant to the maritime industry
Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and the ability to incorporate risk considerations into cost estimates
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Candidate must be able to pass a background check to gain access to sites that perform work on US DOD Contracts (on-site)
Candidate should have a good driving record
Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane
The employee will regularly stand, walk, reach overhead with hands and arms, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb ladders, and use stairs
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
The employee will have prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer
