Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing or has a current active state certification in medication administration.
Work experience should include administration of medication and experience in either geriatric, psychiatric or rehabilitation nursing.
Certified in CPR and first aid.
Must be willing to become trained and/or certified in state assessments and service plans as per regulatory licensing requirements.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours as needed for resident care and services, including on-call responsibilities.
Must be proficient in basic office equipment, including a personal computer, for the purpose of accomplishing and maintaining a high level of job performance.
Acceptable driving record.
The Assistant Resident Care Director must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
This position requires a variety of physical demands, including the potential for lifting greater than 50 pounds, extended periods of time on one's feet walking around, bending, lifting, pulling, stooping, pushing medication carts, and assisting high-risk residents during working hours.
