Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have completed an accredited CVT program, echocardiography program OR Associate's degree with emphasis on natural science OR 10 years' experience as a Registered Echo Sonographer.
Must be registered under one of the following agencies:
o R. D. M. S.- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with a specialty in Cardiology
o R. D. C. S.- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
o R. C. S.- Registered Cardiac Sonographer
Must have demonstrated aptitude of computer and keyboard function with medical applications
Must have extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
