Active Secret (T3) security clearance required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an ABET-accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of professional engineering experience in marine mechanical engineering or propulsion systems
Minimum of three (3) years of documented experience developing ship propulsion systems, propulsion control systems, machinery arrangements, ship weight assessments, and conducting propulsion configuration trade studies
Familiarity with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Naval Vessel Rules (NVR), and commercial ship design rules and regulations
Knowledge of marine propulsion systems, propulsion control systems, machinery arrangements, and ship mechanical system integration
Ability to conduct engineering analyses, perform propulsion configuration trade studies, and develop technical documentation
Experience performing ship weight assessments and evaluating propulsion system configurations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams and communicate technical information to government and contractor personnel
Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
