Formal Training: Completion of a paid pre-academy orientation and a 101-day training program at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)

Minimum of one (1) year of specialized full-time work experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level for GS-7 grade level
Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or one (1) full year of graduate-level education for GS-7 grade level
