6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 4 years supporting mortgage lending, private lending, real estate finance, or loan accounting operations. Direct lending industry accounting experience required.
Hands-on loan accounting experience, including an understanding of loan-level transactions and their impact on the general ledger.
ERP/accounting system experience in a complex, high-volume accounting environment.
Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Experience with multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
3+ years of people management experience leading accounting professionals.
Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large datasets.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; or a combination of education and experience.
