Registered Nurse (RN)
Graduate of an accredited Registered Professional Nursing Program.
Active, unrestricted New York State (NYS) RN License.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (or obtained at time of hire)
Specialized training in hospital-approved verbal crisis intervention techniques. (Required upon hire/orientation for Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, and Crisis Services units).
Stroke Certification Education : Required **upon hire and annually** if assigned to: Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Tower 6 Telemetry/Neuroscience Unit.
Ability to recognize patient care problems and to react appropriately in patient care emergencies
Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
Strong working knowledge of standard healthcare reporting and quality measures
