High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 2 Years related experience in discipline or 5 years in Shipboard Piping, machinery, and/or similar installations.
Knowledge of Piping systems, vessel equipment (Deck Machinery, Hydro Tests, Visual Inspections, Tank inspections, flushing.
Knowledge of Marine Classification Society Rules
Knowledge of testing/inspection equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints a must or be trainable to read blue prints.
Basic computer skills required
Must have the ability to enter a confined space.
Must be comfortable with heights and use or operation of Manlifts.
A range of motion sufficient to perform general lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, climbing, working at heights, extended walking or standing, etc. is required.
Employment in this position is contingent upon passing the medical examination.
