Minimum High School or GED Diploma
Minimum 3 years structural steel rigging or erecting
Fundamentals of rigging, basic working knowledge of crane and rigging gear
High Reach Forklift experience
Knowledge of the proper hand and radio signals for all cranes
Knowledge of tying knots
Knowledge of proper hand signals to signal crane operators and radio communication with crane operators
Knowledge of how to visually inspect all rigging gear such as wire rope, shackles synthetic slings, chain hoist, come-alongs, hooks, and all other rigging gear to ensure that safety is always first
Must have knowledge of various size wire ropes' breaking strengths
