High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience as a machinist in the heavy equipment, manufacturing, or mining industry.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, pi tapes, and scales.
Understanding of precision bearings, bushings, gearing, and the heating and cooling of components for disassembly and assembly.
The ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Work for extended periods, including outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Navigate different terrain
Climb ladders and stairs
Access confined spaces as required
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment
The visual and auditory capabilities needed to recognize workplace issues, instructions, alarms, and alerts.
