One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A working knowledge of signal level meters, volt-ohm meters (VOM), leakage detection equipment, time domain reflectometer (TDR), optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) and other related test equipment.

Knowledgeable of rules and regulations of various regulatory bodies impacting the operation of a telecommunications system including, but not limited to, FCC, NEC, NESC, OSHA, and DOT, as well as all local ordinances.

Must possess a valid driver's license of the state in which the individual is employed.

The position requires the ability to work a variable schedule and respond to service interruptions during regular business hours, shift work or when on-call.

Must be available to work overtime including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Job offers are contingent upon the results of background, drug screening, and reference check.

Individuals hired into DOT regulated positions must be able to meet and maintain the requirements under the Company's DOT program, including successfully complete and pass a road test examination, driver's record safety review, drug testing, DOT physical, and past employer safety performance history.

Must successfully complete Sparklight Technical Training Center Advanced Technician course within 6 months of accepting position.

Varying shift hours

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

5+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

2+ years of leadership experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

Firm knowledge in Shipping/ Storage/ Warehousing HACCP and/or USDA policies

Proficient in safety best practices, policies, and standards

Effective computer skills with the ability to learn and apply new technologies

Ability to work varying shift hours

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate equipment, computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally climb and lift up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of Butterball's Drug/Alcohol Screening & Testing Policy.
