High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Electrician apprentice; Journeyman License or better
3 - 5 years
Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.
Ability to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
Must possess demonstrated ability to safely utilize a forklift, man lift, and high lift
Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety
Must be able to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, knives, and hacksaws
Work at heights of 80 ft. or above
Must have knowledge of National Electric Code and comply with State and Local building codes when installing, repairing, and maintenance systems.
Must have knowledge of safety and OSHA Laws and Regulations.
Must have knowledge and be able to work on the following: relay circuits, frequency change, low and medium voltage power circuits, semi-conductor elements, transistors and transformers.
Must be able to understand and interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form.
Must be able to safely lift and load 50lbs.
Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work in all weather conditions and with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or heavy construction equipment; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone and/or radio.
Must be available for regular standby assignments and work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and with exposure to traffic and potentially hazardous conditions.
Must be willing to work in heights of 80 ft. and above.
Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate, must be flexible with shift and hours.
