Specialist in Blood Bank Technology certification (SBB)
Successful completion of a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved)
Requires greater than three (3+) years of experience
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university
Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required
Certification in Specialty for area of laboratory employment required without a Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) certification
