Must be able to set up milling fixtures such as indexers and vices using DRO.
Must have understanding of tooling applications and proper feed/speed for various operations and materials to maximize tool life and efficiency.
Ability to grind tooling to make simple profiles required.
Able to read and understand blueprints with family of parts tables to machine proper dimensions for components.
Must be able to inspect parts using Calipers, OD/ID/Pitch Micrometers, Thread Gages, Optical Comparator to ensure parts are within tolerance.
Must possess basic Arithmetic and Geometry skills.
Experience working with various materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Plastics, and Special Alloys required.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Basic knowledge of manual machining on lathes, mills.
Knowledge of Safe Machine shop practices.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Manual mill and lathe experience required.
