Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with construction hoists in commercial or high-rise environments.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing hoist crews or similar teams.
Strong understanding of rack-and-pinion and cable-driven hoist systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, hoist layout drawings, and engineering specifications.
Experience performing and documenting required hoist inspections.
Familiarity with jobsite reporting tools for timekeeping, safety documentation, and inventory tracking.
Strong communication and coordination skills across trades, field teams, and management.
Proven leadership ability, including training, mentoring, and enforcing safety and performance standards.
Physically capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to travel between job sites.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification required.
NYC SST (62-Hour) Card required per Local Law 196.
OSHA Hoist Competent Person designation (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
Knowledge of NYC DOB Chapter 33 and New York State Labor Law (§240 & §241).
First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Thorough knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, manufacturer standards, and local regulations related to construction hoists.
