Licensure/Certification Required: Currently certified in one of the following: Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology or MLS/CLS by the National Credentialing Agency or equivalent ASCP categorical certification or American Medical Technologist (AMT); Histotechnician (HT); Specialist in Cytotechnology (SCT); Specialist in Molecular Biology (SMB); Pathologists' Assistant (PA); by the National Credentialing Agency; or Equivalent ASC P categorical certification or equivalent certification. Certified Professional Coder Certificate from the American Academy of Professional Coders (within 18-months of hire into the position)- only applies to pathology billing lab section
Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology or MLS/CLS by the National Credentialing Agency or equivalent ASCP categorical certification or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
