Experience or strong interest in construction, construction inspection, or construction materials testing.
Ability to perform field testing of construction materials such as soils, concrete, asphalt, and reinforcing steel.
Capability to safely operate a nuclear gauge for construction materials testing after appropriate training and authorization.
Basic map reading and math skills, with the ability to interpret site plans and perform necessary calculations.
Ability to work independently, manage daily assignments, and travel to multiple job sites.
Physical ability to carry buckets, testing equipment, and materials as required for field testing.
Prior experience with concrete testing and inspection.
Familiarity with nuclear gauge use and safety procedures.
ACI (American Concrete Institute) certification or eligibility to obtain ACI certification in concrete testing.
