High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years college or technical school or equivalent.

2 or more years of experience

Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

UT or RT as specialties

Experience using Farrow measuring equipment.

Capability of certification in any qualification.

Must have 9 levels of qualification, to include Mechanical Inspection, Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II and the ability to maintain qualifications by the qualification criteria. If not able to attain and maintain Weld Surveillance, Liquid Penetrant II and Magnetic Particle II, inspector will have the opportunity of achieving a substitute qualification selected by the Company.

Prior experience with engineering drawings including welding, welding symbols.

Understand shop drawings, sketches

NDE Certification is a bonus

Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)

10 years' experience with submarine and/or deep submergence systems

Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM

Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and experience with MS Office suite of products.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.

Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing

Electrical power background (NSTM 300)

Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards

Experience with configuration management and document control
