Graduate from one of the following Accredited Education Programs required: • Registered Nurse (RN) • Registered Radiology Technology (RTR) • Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) • Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS) • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) • Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT-P) • Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) • Vascular Intervention (VI)required.

If RN, one (1) year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience, required. If EMT-P, two (2) years of acute care hospital experience, required.

Registered Nurse (RN)-North Carolina Board of Nursing License Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR) -ARRT Radiology OR Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) credentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic associate degree from an appropriately recognized Paramedic program. Or Technologist Registry OR Respiratory Therapist-licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) AND Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as RRT. OR Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Cardiovascular Tech, and Vascular Intervention-graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program.

Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.

Pass yearly Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.

If RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT or VI one (1) year of experience, preferred.

If the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CIS) is not an RN or an RTR with CI or VI certification, they must obtain either the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) credential within 24 months of hire, or as soon as the minimum case volume required to sit for the exam is completed, whichever occurs first, for continued employment.

5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, with experience in mission-critical, large-tonnage, or complex chiller environments.

Strong knowledge of thermal cooling systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, pumps, hydronic systems, cooling towers, and associated mechanical equipment.

Hands-on experience with startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of mission-critical cooling equipment.

Experience supporting screw and centrifugal compressor technologies in demanding operating environments.

Familiarity with commissioning processes, sequence of operations, equipment checkout, and performance verification.

Experience working with equipment manufactured by Trane, York, Carrier, Daikin, Vertiv, Liebert, Stulz, and Johnson Controls.

A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations

Ability to travel 75% plus

Must be able to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seat belt

Must be able to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness and safety boots to safely perform job duties

Must be able to twist the trunk of your body 90 degrees in each direction

Must be able to squat and touch the floor with both hands

Must be able to reach your hands over your head

Must be able to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours

This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move more than 40 lbs.

Must be able to safely use a ladder with a 350 lb. total weight limit, while carrying equipment of 50 lbs. or less

Must be able to maneuver confined access areas, as small as 30” vertical x 45” horizontal

Must be able to comfortably and routinely access rooftops with extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15' to 20', and occasionally, up to 50 feet +

Typically requires two to five years of experience in HVAC; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.

Safety Sensitive roles may require that you pass additional drug screening.

Previous OEM training, factory startup experience, or field commissioning experience is preferred.

A 2+ year degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or a related field is preferred.
