A highly motivated self-starter that works well without supervision
Must be capable of successfully implementing the GTAW, GMAW and FCAW processes (as a minimum) and also have an operational proficiency in the methods of Oxyfuel Torch-cutting and Plasma Arc cutting
May be required to pass a 6G GTAW super coupon test and a 6G GMAW/FCAW 6" pipe test
A working knowledge of standard machine shop tooling and equipment is preferred including, but not limited to safe operation of a Bridgeport, drill press, band saw, grinder, etc.
Ability to utilize available resources effectively to solve problems as they occur
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in operating manual and CNC OD/ID grinders.
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of OD/ID grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably in gear production.
Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to hold tolerances within ±0.0001" and achieve high surface finish requirements.
Strong understanding of grinding wheel selection, dressing, and balancing.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
Work Ethic: Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols on blueprints.
Knowledge of various materials, including hardened steels, and their grinding characteristics.
Skilled in using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs for precision measurement.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
