Five or more years of experience developing technical documentation
Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Experience writing service manuals, repair procedures, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, work instructions, or similar technical content
Strong understanding of computer systems, server hardware, components, networking, storage, or data-center technologies
Ability to understand complex technical products and translate engineering information into clear, accurate, user-focused documentation
Strong interviewing and information-gathering skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical subject-matter experts
Experience creating or editing technical diagrams, illustrations, flowcharts, and other visual documentation
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong attention to detail, consistency, grammar, and accuracy
Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple documentation projects and deadlines
Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Product Management, Field Service, Training, Quality, and other global teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
Experience with technical-authoring and publishing tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, MadCap Flare, or similar platforms
Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop is desirable
Experience with structured authoring, content-management systems, DITA/XML, or document-control processes is a plus
Experience working within ISO or other quality-management standards is preferred
