Employment Type: Full Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

High School and 5 years relevant experience or Associate's Degree and 3 years relevant experience.

Be able to read and interpret ship Installation Drawings and Liaison Action Requests (LARs).

Must be proficient with use of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PDF reader programs similar to ADOBE PRO and NUANCE.

Must have practical Quality Control Tests and Inspection experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.

Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.

May require wearing a respirator.

Current or previous NDT Level II Visual Inspection Certification and able to provide record of OJT hours.

Strong knowledge of structural related system installation, including welding, structural fit up, and installation standards to include: * Requirements for Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection of Submarine Structure (T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688) * Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection of Ship's Structure (MIL-STD-1689A) * Welded Joint Design (MIL-STD-22D)

Experience working in Naval Shipyards or Military Facilities preferred.

Maintenance & repair experience on NAVSEA contracts a plus.

Experience distributing and managing various training programs.

Be familiar with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) STANDARD ITEMS, TS9090-310 Navy Modernization Program Management and Operations Manual, Joint Fleet maintenance Manual (JFMM), Requirements for Welding and Brazing Procedure and Performance Qualification (S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248), Requirements for Fabrication Welding and Inspection, and Casting Inspection and Repair for Machinery, Piping, and Pressure Vessels (S9074-AR-GIB-010/278), Requirements for Nondestructive Testing Methods (T9074-AS-GIB-010/271), Nondestructive Testing Acceptance Criteria (MIL-STD-20335A), including familiarization with Quality Assurance Workbooks.

Have experience installing or inspecting the installation of systems/equipment onboard marine vessels.

Experience with electrical and equipment installation on marine vessels.

$35.00-$45.00 per hour DOE

Per Diem OR Dislocation Allowance may be provided to eligible employees to reimburse some or all of the cost an employee might be reasonably expected to incur for lodging, meals, and incidental expenses while traveling out of town for work.

Formal or informal on-the-job training in the Maritime industry

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50+ pounds (50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly)

Lifting includes from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, waist to overhead

Ability to climb stairs and ladders

Industry relevant Certifications preferred, such as SSPC-QCS, NBPI or NACE
