High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Welding certifications in basic welding and MIG welding from a technical college or equivalent program from an accredited institution.

Prior welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including sheet metal fabrication using standard punch and bend tooling and processes

Must successfully pass 1G and 3G X-rayed weld tests.

Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Minden, LA facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, drawings, and operating instruction

Advanced experience reading and interpreting blueprints

Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices (e.g., grinder, saw, tape measure)

Experience welding complex structural assemblies or fabricated components

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline

5+ years' experience supporting manufacturing operations, production systems, or industrial process equipment

Proven experience leading capital projects, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, and vendor management

Working knowledge of industrial safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and safe design principles

Proficiency with common engineering and project management tools

Experience with manufacturing automation, controls, and instrumentation (PLC controlled equipment, sensors, interlocks, alarms)

Experience working with flammable liquids, including safe handling, storage, and process design in compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations

Experienced Trailer Mechanics can earn up to $32.70/hour NOT including shift premium

$1/hour increase for 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday - Friday

$3/hour increase for 3rd shift 10:00pm-6:30am Monday - Friday

1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance and/or time in an entry-level Technician role

A valid driver's license

Able to perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation

Basic computer skills

Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 369.25

Vehicle Inspection qualified in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 369.19

Basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer maintenance

Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally more than 75 lbs.

Safely walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather

Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel

Walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
