Mechanical Fitter
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layout diagrams
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and basic shop equipment
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
Willingness to follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment
Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull
Perform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements
Maintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required
Safely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position
Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position
Ability to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the position
The employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to: The need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedure
Varying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
Moderate to high levels of noise in designated production areas
Outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require
Welding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas
