Knowledge would normally be acquired through a high school degree or equivalent program and satisfactory completion of Job #275, Master Maintenance Technician.
Knowledge of all materials used as to strength, durability, etc.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring related to switches and motors.
Working knowledge of production equipment operation in order to perform complex machine diagnostics in carrying out the essential functions for optimum efficiency, productivity and safety.
Ability to read and apply contents of work orders, operating manuals, and other related information in order to analyze mechanical operations to recommend and/or modify for optimum efficiency, productivity and safety.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machines drawings of machines, machine parts and tools.
Ability to write to record work performed daily.
Certification in AutoCAD required in order to create accurate, engineered drawings of machines, machine parts and tools.
Ability to perform mathematics used to make modifications on machinery to optimize efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Ability to use small machine tools, hand tolls, welding equipment, lathe, shaper, milling machine, surface grinder.
