Candidates are required to **complete an intensive 13-week training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)** in Glynco, GA, followed by **specialized 18-week training at the James J. Rowley Training Center** in Laurel, MD. Failure to pass the training program may result in separation from the Secret Service.

24, 32 or 36 hours; schedule is day/evening rotating, occasional overnights, every other weekend and rotating holidays; mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts. Other schedule options include straight overnights & every other weekend; or straight evenings & every other weekend, and rotating holidays.

High School Diploma/GED required.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience working with children/adolescents, facilitating group activities, working with patients with behavioral health challenges preferred.

1-2 Years of experience as a Behavioral Health, Mental Health Counselor or similar role in a similar setting preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and de-escalation certification per facility protocol/procedure within 1 month of hire.
