This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Bridgeport site

Position involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessary

Ability to safely and confidently use power tools, welders, hand tools, and related equipment

Basic mechanical aptitude and solid math skills

Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends

Offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background check

Frequently required to climb, kneel, bend, reach, lift loads up to 30 lbs, carry items up to 20 lbs, push, pull, and use manual dexterity to perform duties effectively

Frequently stand, walk, and use fine and gross motor skills, including hand-eye coordination, near and distance vision to perform your tasks safely and accurately

Previous experience in the aggregate industry and proficiency in welding is considered an asset

Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment is a plus

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is considered an asset

Full-time

Bachelor's degree in related area (Business, Engineering, etc.) or 6 years related experience.

At least five (5) years' experience in production processes, machinery, and equipment related to sheet metal fabrication, plastic forming technology, foam and adhesive/upholstery assembly, welding applications, and/or metalworking technology.

At least two (2) years supervisory experience as a supervisor and/or superintendent in similar related work.

Must have experience maintaining a flow schedule of parts through the shop.

Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of the manual machines, N.C. machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and processing of stainless steel, aluminum and other materials.

Must know how to sustain parts flow through the shop in a timely, economical manner producing a quality product.

Candidates for positions with Safran Seats must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
