Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment, where required.
Minimum of 6 months of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
24 years of overall experience in a related clinical or laboratory role.
Proficiency in venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles.
Ability to perform accurate specimen labeling, centrifuging, splitting, freezing, and packaging.
Strong attention to detail when matching laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes and verifying orders.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and data entry.
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of OSHA and DEP regulations and ability to comply with safety protocols.
Ability to clearly explain specimen collection procedures to patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Capability to update and maintain accurate patient information and registration details.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, data entry.
