Inspect parts and components used in the manufacturing of airbags

Perform visual and quality inspections to identify defects or inconsistencies

Help train and guide employees on proper inspection procedures

Monitor workflow and help keep the team on task throughout the shift

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Stand and walk for the majority of the shift

Previous supervisor, lead, quality control, or inspection experience preferred

During the internship phase, Year Up United students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.

Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of fifty-five thousand dollars per year.

Additional Scheduling Requirements: Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must have High School Diploma or GED (reflected on resume)

At least 1–2 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Maintenance Technician or mechanic experience preferred.

Vocational training or technical education in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred.

Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems.

Electrical wiring and electrical-system troubleshooting capabilities.

Knowledge of HVAC systems.

Knowledge of boilers, pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.

Groundskeeping skills for outdoor facility areas as needed.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Experience troubleshooting PLCs and industrial control systems is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently.

Strong attention to detail to ensure work is completed properly and warning signs of potential problems are not overlooked.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally and pleasantly with employees and others throughout the facility.
