Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related technical field. * 5 years of relevant mechanical, marine, manufacturing, or government experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Ability to obtain an Oregon Boater's certification/card

Experience supporting small and large, multi-faceted marine or industrial projects

Experience with mechanical inspection, quality control, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation

Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, equipment layouts, technical specifications, contracts, and 3D models.

Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, marine requirements, customer specifications, military requirements, and industry standards as applicable to contract requirements

Understanding of dimensional inspection equipment, torque tools, pressure-test equipment, and proper calibration/traceability practices

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and changing production schedules

Ability to function in a marine manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting for extended periods as necessary

Ability to access confined and tight spaces within vessel structures for inspection and testing

Ability to safely access elevated areas, ladders, platforms, and vessel structures as required

Ability to work around active production, mechanical systems, machinery, welding operations, tools, and other industrial hazards while following all company safety requirements

Ability to participate in vessel inspections, testing, dock trials, builder trials, underway testing, and customer acceptance activities

Valid Driver's License

The ability to obtain a passport if one is not currently held

Minimum of 7 years of combined mechanical fabrication, installation, inspection, management, production, testing, or operational experience, preferably in the marine manufacturing industry

Earn $52,036.23- $112,372.87 per Year

$2,000 transition package including $1,000 orientation pay

Earn$0.68 to $0.72** per mile, depending on experience

Earn **$1,007.70 - $2,161.02** per week depending on experience, routes, regular attendance, and length of service

Full pay package also includes other accessorial compensation to include tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over-dimensional pay as appropriate

CDL-A

Must have a valid Class A driver's license (CDL-A)

Minimum of 6+ months of driving experience required

A safe driving record on the road

Must be 21 years of age or older

No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years

Background check required

A clean drug test required

Clean clearinghouse results required

For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.

Drivers must be currently employed and actively driving to receive the payout.

Drivers must be living in an eligible zipcode for the $5K Hiring Bonus.

Owner/operators and inexperienced Trainees (those with less than 4 months CDL-A Driving experience) are not eligible for this special offer.
