3-5+ years in manufacturing test, electrical validation, or automation engineering within a production environment.

Hands-on experience building and troubleshooting test equipment, including wiring, harnessing, electrical panels, and instrumentation.

Familiarity with PLC/HMI systems and industrial robots from a hardware integration perspective (no advanced programming required).

Strong ability to read/author electrical schematics, create wiring diagrams and fixture documentation; practical knowledge of ESD, electrical safety, and machine guarding principles.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and version control/documentation practices.

This position may require exposure to export-controlled information and subject to additional security screening.

A Bachelor's degree ideally in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field

Exposure to LabVIEW/NI platforms is a plus (ability to assist with I/O mapping or minor edits), but not required.

U.S. citizenship is required for this contract position

Ability to obtain an Oregon Boater's certification/card

Experience supporting small and large, multi-faceted marine or industrial projects

Experience with mechanical inspection, quality control, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation

Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, equipment layouts, technical specifications, contracts, and 3D models.

Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, marine requirements, customer specifications, military requirements, and industry standards as applicable to contract requirements

Understanding of dimensional inspection equipment, torque tools, pressure-test equipment, and proper calibration/traceability practices

Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and changing production schedules

Ability to function in a marine manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting for extended periods as necessary

Ability to access confined and tight spaces within vessel structures for inspection and testing

Ability to safely access elevated areas, ladders, platforms, and vessel structures as required

Ability to work around active production, mechanical systems, machinery, welding operations, tools, and other industrial hazards while following all company safety requirements

Ability to participate in vessel inspections, testing, dock trials, builder trials, underway testing, and customer acceptance activities

Valid Driver's License

The ability to obtain a passport if one is not currently held

Minimum of 7 years of combined mechanical fabrication, installation, inspection, management, production, testing, or operational experience, preferably in the marine manufacturing industry

PC skills required, including engineering computer equipment and software (analysis, design, CAD/CAM and data programs).

Knowledge of MS Windows, Advanced Excel, Word, Auto-CAD.

Ability to read and comprehend work specifications, work orders, blueprints, contracts and technical publications.

Demonstrated understanding and experience deploying Lean, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Knowledge of working carbon and stainless steels, aluminum, Titanium and hard materials

Knowledge of welding processes and metallurgy

Working knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning System; lean manufacturing process and continuous improvement tools.

Degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or related engineering field is required.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar production industry is required.

He/she must be able to walk to and from job sites.

The person must be able to climb inclined stairways and vertical ladders.

The incumbent may be required to lift up to 20 pounds.
