Basic knowledge in the areas of microbiology, immunology or molecular biology and biochemistry as related to infectious diseases required

One of the following national certification/registrations is required: * Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) by ASCP * Certified Medical Laboratory Assistant (CMLA) by AMT * Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) by ASCP * Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) by AMT * Certified Phlebotomy Technologist (CPT) by NPA

State license is required to practice in Louisiana * CLS - Laboratory Assistant by LSBME

Associate of Science Degree preferred

1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or length of time to complete certification program preferred

In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy, all Associates are required to obtain the required certifications for their respective positions within the designated time frame.

$15 per hour

Completing certification and servicing at least 10 hours in Week 1: $50

Servicing at least 10 hours in Week 2: $50

Flexible scheduling

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET.

A minimum of 20 hours per week

Certification runs for 10 days, Monday-Friday, from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM ET

You'll need a quiet, dedicated workspace

Access to high-speed, hardwired internet (no Wi-Fi or Satellite, please)

A PC with Windows 11 (Macs and Chromebooks are not supported at this time)

At least 8GB of RAM, with at least 4GB available for use

A processor capable of reliably running all required software and programs simultaneously

Up-to-date antivirus software

Dual monitors, each capable of displaying at least 1024 x 768 pixels

A USB noise-cancelling headset

A webcam for your Certification experience

A smart phone to facilitate dual-factor authentication

Each independent contractor services a minimum of 20 hours per week

At least one year of experience in a call center customer service environment is preferred

Medical office, pharmacy, or non-clinical medical experience is very helpful
