Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: $20.00 to $20.72, dependent on the candidate's experience.

It is a part-time position with a full-time equivalency (FTE) of 80%.

Average weekly hours will be greater during the Fall and Spring semesters (approx.32-38 hours per week.) Hours are reduced during the summer semester (approx. 28 hours/week) for a total of 1664 hours per year.

The working schedule may require evening hours and occasional weekend work at conferences, orientations, open houses, etc.

Bachelor's Degree in English or a related discipline.

One (1) year of teaching or tutoring related experience **OR** One (1) year of relevant professional experience.

Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required.

If hired into this position, you will be required to provide satisfactory proof of employment eligibility by providing acceptable, original forms of identification for employment verification via the Federal I-9 employment verification process.

A Master's degree in English, Creative Writing, Reading, or a related field.

Experience teaching or tutoring one or more of the following areas: English as a Second Language, reading, writing, study skills, and student success strategies.

Willingness to be trained to tutor in relevant areas of support, including writing, study skills, and English as a second language

Experience in developmental learning and experience working with first generation and underprepared students.

Higher education experience.
