Associates degree in a utility construction-related program and 5+ years of related work experience with a focus on quality work and contractual adherence, or combination of education and experience required
Working knowledge of communication utility prints, specs and units
Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence and memos including contract language and unit descriptions
Proficient use of computer hardware and software including but not limited to Internet software and databases.
Understanding and use of general arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, units of measure and weight using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Ability to work flexible hours including long hours and weekends as needed
Valid driver's license with favorable driving record required
Ability to safely wear various forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye, foot and hearing protection, safety vest and hard hat;
Frequent sit, stand and/or walk;
Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, crawl or twist on concrete, dirt or gravel surfaces;
Frequently stand on a concrete, dirt or gravel surfaces;
Frequent use of sight (specifically, close to perform computer work), hearing and voice;
Occasional light to moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs) ;
Occasionally work in adverse weather conditions and uneven surfaces;
